After-effect of movies

If you do not stand for ANYTHING, you shall fall for EVERYTHING- This was the very line which went on scrolling on my mental screen all this evening. This was the essence which I derived after viewing a few Hollywood films. In the rapid action of the movies, the super heroes stirred a passion in me for a moral way of living. The influences may be short-lived or may lead to a wild fantasy but I enjoyed them because they added another hitherto undiscovered dimension to life’s journey. This dimension of life makes life dance with the tunes of imagination and abounding possibilities. In a nut shell, it helps stretch the imagination creating another world above our mundane existence.

Breathing in the breeze of heaven

It was morning 5 o’ clock. The young man opened the door and saw the morning spreading its soft golden colours in the blue sky. The icy cold wind touched his body and calmed the mind. And the two gleaming eyes of the young man slowly got closed while he inhaled the fresh air into his lungs. The day shined in the east horizon with heavenly peace, promises and hopes.
All the cells of his body got charged with a promising vitality of a life beautiful and then the young man wore his uniform and headed to his workplace…………….
It was the month of October and the earth was changing the season. With Dussera in the air, the activities of the market place had been doubled and the wide inviting smiles of the shopkeepers used to go in tandem with their brightly decorated shops. The ecstasy and festival were around the corner and the green paddy fields had added brilliant colours to life. Life was as fresh as that wintery morning air which the young man was breathing in. And the effect was lasting in the young man.
At his workplace one of his colleagues asked, “Hey dear! What’s up?  You look so divine and charming!” The young man smartly and smilingly responded, “In the morning I turned into an angel after I breathed in the breeze of heaven. And the heaven is just in front of your door but to see it you have to get up early.” With these words the young man walked away smilingly and gleefully waving his hands to the colleague but his colleague could not make out any sense because he was slumbering in the thickness of his blanket till 8 am.
LIFE HAS MANY INNOCENT JOYS BUT WE MISS THEM BECAUSE WE THICKLY COVER OURSELVES IN THE COZY COCOON OF ‘I, ME, AND MYSELF’.

A Sunny Morning

Talent plays a vital role in shaping life but will-power is another powerful component that helps an individual draw the best in him/her. Both talent and will-power develop by means of continuous effort. Each moment of life brings forth a variety of choices or options before an individual. In life’s journey every individual has some freedom to make a conscious choice. And his choices determine his/her worth in the long run. When someone is insightful & perceptive to the fundamental principles of morality, he/she spontaneously draws a deeper respect from his fellow human beings and achieves greater influence as an agent of social change.
Anna Hazare can be a recent example of such will-power that blends with morality and capably demonstrates the deep influences of morality on general consciousness of present society. Apart from Anna, if the teaching community, who works in schools and colleges, devotes a little effort to instill a general sense of morality among the learners, then within 15 years, the society will see a sunny morning of general happiness.

I am an unfathomable enormous vacuum

Writer- a person who transforms caffeine into books! They need caffeine that is measurable in cups/mugs and their books are measurable in volumes…….
And I am an unfathomable enormous vacuum, always sharing some empty words and consuming the readers’ time.
I was silent and out of the world scene but now I appear once again with my vast emptiness to embrace the world and see how my emptiness pervades all.

Ignoring me is never a rescue. I am a ghost and will haunt you so long as you run the FACEBOOK FEVER.

Standing before the caved in Jeypore(Koraput) Palace.

While sipping tea at a tea-stall opposite to the recently collapsed imperial entrance (Smiha Dwara) of Jeypore palace of Nanda dynasty I reconfirmed my belief in the eternal truth- NOTHING IS PERMANENT IN THE WORLD AND EVERYTHING SHALL PASS AWAY………
The tea was hot and steaming. But I had forgotten to sip it. My heart was steaming with a burning emptiness. And it was because the collapse was before time & could have been averted.
6 years back, in 2006, I had landed the place with a metal trunk to join in the teaching job in a college. And thenceforth a new relation was formed with this enchanting place. I remember how, for the first time, when I viewed the dilapidated palace, I was completely awe struck. And how magically the characters of the past became alive in my imagination and I could feel as if I was standing under the imperial sun of the Kings and queens. But now I see those feelings & structure crumbling down and the earth engulfing it.
……..Holding my tea cup I realized that by the time my one half year old son grows up to understand the historical importance of the palace and the rich heritage of the place I may not be able to show him the decipherable remnants of the princely palace. Therefore, I have made this post with some photographs so that at least he (my son) may feel proud that his father had witnessed the last stand of this imperial structure……….
“I love you so much my dear son but I am not a good daddy. Because I could not preserve that brilliant flash of the brick & mortar made royal palace for you. Alas! For my insincerity I apologize to my posterity and at the same time I hope & dream that when the GenX (generation next) come to my age, they shall never repeat such mistake what I have made & repent for.”
