He would feel that he was most fortunate.

A man married a lady. They lived together and loved each other very much. Every night the wife would sleep peacefully hugging her husband. The husband would feel on cloud nine to see his loving wife sleeping in his arms. He would feel that he was most fortunate.
Time went on. One and a half years latter a cute baby was born to them. The couple loved the baby very much. Whole day long they would be busy in rearing the child. Now the husband and wife did not find time for each other.
Now every night the wife used to turn her back to the husband and put her arms gently round the sleeping baby. The mother and child would forget the world in a strange togetherness. And the husband would sleep alone peacefully; fully convinced that he was the most fortunate man on earth.

Transformation

He was a clerk in a Government office and he had to take bribe because his medical expenses were beyond his fair means.
One day he was caught red-handed.
He was suspended from his job. During his suspension period he went to an ashram. He spent his life in spiritual practice and understood that life is transitory but soul is eternal. He slowly understood the secrets of a spiritual life.
Two-month latter he was re-instated in his job. This time he did not take bribe. He placed a donation box on his working table and fixed a printed notice on it that said, “Donate whole-heartedly for construction of Temple.”

friendship and ego

They were two friends but that day something happened and they shouted at each other at the top of their voices. They pointed each other’s errors and the flower of friendship existing between them was torn apart. Their egos clashed and the pristine beauty of souls diminished. Mutual love disintegrated and feelings of rancor took its place. The two friends now behaved as strangers to one another. And the tragedy was that a beautiful relationship died when they were still alive…………… (Now the story is completed in two ways)
First option
The next day was Friendship day. The celebration of friendship and togetherness had filled the air. Many young boys and girls tied friendship bands to their beloved friends. In the company of friends, everyone enjoyed life. That day the evening was most splendid. The sun happily set in the west and night approached the earth with dancing and partying of many friend-groups. A lot of stars twinkled in the sky together in heavenly blue sparkles.
But the two friends still preferred to remain in the narrow folds of their individual egos. They remained strangers to each other and continued……..They became like boats tied to the shore, unmoved and lifeless. They were strongly tied to their egos and missed expansion and human evolution.

Second option
The next day was Friendship day. The celebration of friendship and togetherness had filled the air. Many young boys and girls tied friendship bands to their beloved friends. In the company of friends, everyone enjoyed life. That day the evening was most splendid. The sun happily set in the west and night approached the earth with dancing and partying of many friend-groups. A lot of stars twinkled in the sky together in heavenly blue sparkles.
But the two friends still preferred to remain in the narrow folds of their individual egos. They remained strangers to each other and continued. The clock ticked off. It was 11pm. At this late hour the mobile of one friend beeped and an SMS flashed, “Rascal! Hw long shall I wait? Com immediately wid sum Chiken Tikka and take my friendship rope (Not Friendship Band) & hang urself. I hav prepared ROTI.”

N.B. chose the second option because A boat tied to the shore cannot move and a man tied to ego cannot improve.

Paper-boats

Looking at the sun the child fervently hoped for a bright and sunny day. His eyes looked skyward for a while and then with steady steps he trod on the country road which went down to his village school.
Going to school was fun because it had two periods for games. He happily capered all the way. He was cheerful and happy because he was convinced that he would get a sunny afternoon and with his schoolmates he would have plenty of time to play.
But from the mid-day everything turned upside down. The sky blackened and the sun hid its face under thick black clouds. The crisp day vanished and a heavy shower of rain washed away all the pleasant and tender wishes of the boy. The school playground became so muddy and wet that all the students had to drop the idea of playing.
The harsh nature robbed the boy of innocent pleasure. But innocence and a clear heart is always a fountain head of unspeakable joy.
The rain was raining with all its might and the group of children now floated paper-boats on the running streams. They were giggling and enjoying their innocence to the fullest even when the atmosphere was most adverse.
To them life gave sour lemons but they prepared lemonade with it.
